Hillgrove Farm Cats

Welcome to HillgroveCats.co.uk

On Thursday 12th August 1999 the cat breeding establishment 'Hillgrove Farm' closed down.  This website is dedicated to all the rehomed cats and their new owners to encourage contact between people who have 'Hillgrove Cats'.  Hillgrove closed as Christopher Brown the owner wanted to retire, he was 61 at the time.

The RSPCA were called in to help rehome the 800 odd cats that were at the farm when it closed.  Before the cats were removed they were checked, vaccinated and microchipped by RSPCA vets.

Television writer Carla Lane said, "I'm sure the RSPCA will have no difficulties in finding homes for these lovely cats."

How can you tell if you have a Hillgrove cat.

The distinct feature of Hillgrove Farm cats is that they all had a tattoo in their ear.  This enabled Hillgrove Farm to identify each cat and keep its record. So have a look in your cats ears and if there is a tatooed number it could very well be a Hillgrove cat.

- We are unaware of any other body, institute or company that tattoos cats in their ears.
